Hi? *cue awkward and uncomfortable wave*
So I am extremely sorry for not writing in awhile (And by awhile I mean like I haven't written since FREAKING MAY!) and I could say a lot of things have happened but I'd be lying so I guess I'll just give you the low down on my boring yet somewhat amusing life.
So let's see...
Me, Nat, Jamie and this guy Aaron in our media class finally finalized our project and it turned out rather good.
So it was all about interviewing and constructing a news segment sort of thing so we interviewed my old science teacher from last year and this guy Milo whom Nat has a huge crush on. It's quite adorable really, she doesn't like to admit it but I know she does. But she's worried she doesn't have a chance because another one of our friends has a crush on him too. Nat, if you're reading this know that I love you like a sister and you have just as much claim to Milo's heart as the other girl. Go for it lovely, you deserve him.
So that's Media.
For Italian me and Nat and our class had to go into the city to participate in a poetry competition. I really hope we both do well and make it to the finals. Fingers crossed! T
That day was pretty good I spent the day in this spectacular Italian restaurant with gelati to die for and pizza that could have been made by angels and I hung around with some other friends; Chris, Brock and Sarah.
Before then I hadn't really spoken much with Sarah but we spent a lot of time together on the trip and I discovered that she is a really nice person! We played Truth or Dare and Chris dared me to go buy more gelati and I went gladly. No regrets!
Anyway I totally shipped him and Sarah together and guess what? They got together over Junior Camp!! I'm so happy for them. Brock asked this girl I knew from a couple of years back when I was at the other campus of my school, Nicki, out and they seem happy. They're perfect for each other!
And then there's me, single and writing fanfiction. Meh, it's not so bad.
Band camp is coming up next week and I'm super excited about that but the lack of friends actually on the camp is going to be a problem. I know, I know, it cold be a chance to make new friends but it's not as easy as it sounds. I'd happily snuggle up to piece of Hotsville cake Nate the whole time but I think he loves this other girl, Anne. Which is fine, she's perfect anyway.
So me and mom went shopping on Thursday for stuff that I'll need for Band Camp and I got some gorgeous new clothes and a new hairdryer. Meanwhile Mom said that it might be a good idea to get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed. It wasn't. I don't know I guess I ended up with some sort of reaction to the incessant plucking and waxing and prodding and pulling aaaaaaaand now I have a rash. Great. I have to treat it with some cream that I'm pretty sure has paint in it. It stinks. But the rash has been really affecting me. I've been feeling really depressed lately because my face is not a pretty sight. I know it's basically a shitty excuse for a real problem but... I don't know. It just sucks that's all.
And that brings us to today when me and Mom went to see The Fault in Our Stars (I'm sorry, did someone say INSTANT CLASSIC? It was beautiful) and I covered up my new imperfections with some makeup. And for awhile I felt... pretty. Then I had to take it all off and it was back to be-speckled, red faced, ugliness that is my face. It's probably time to apply more cream, just a second.
*Cream applying time. Please be patient*
And now I'm here; Facebooking with Nat and writing this entry feeling, not sad exactly, but flat is all. Hopefully the rash will be cleared before I'm expected anywhere important.
Yours entirely,
Kat
P.S: Currently reading Paper Towns by John Green. Mmmm I love me some John Green #Thebestwriterever.
